The ex-wife of Peoria County Sheriff Mike McCoy is in trouble with the law, accused of vandalizing the county-owned vehicle used by her ex-husband.

Police arrested 65-year-old Sherianne McCoy Thursday morning on a felony charge of criminal damage to property over $300.

Peoria County prosecutors allege Sherianne McCoy deliberately keyed the Sheriff's official vehicle Monday night, carving several words into the painted exterior of the black Chevy Tahoe.

She was booked at the Peoria County Jail and given a notice-to-appear.
