NORMAL, Ill. -- Students at Kingsley Junior High School got time out of the classroom on Monday because of the ISAT tests.

They were taking part in the school's first ever ISAT prep rally.

The prep rally included a dance party and a motivational speaker.

Principal Lynette Mehall said it was a chance for students to loosen up and let off some steam.

"We wanted to rally them together and have them have a good feeling together. And we feel like if they have a good time and they have that positive spirit that will carry over onto tomorrow," Mehall said.

ISAT testing starts Tuesday for Kingsley Junior High Students and lasts for three days.
