Suicide Prevention Awareness Program

In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Week, the public is invited to attend several free wellness screenings in September, beginning this evening, Tuesday, September 7 from 4 to 6 pm. Participants will be offered free wellness screenings to assess for stress, depression, anxiety and mood disorders and then referred on for services in the community. The screenings will take place at the Hult Center for Health Education at 5215 North Knoxville on September 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 4 to 6 pm each time. Wellness screenings will be provided by Sharon Mindock, LCPC and Katie Jones, MSW of Mindock Counseling & Consulting at no charge.
In addition, the public is invited to attend a free support group facilitated by the local chapter of Survivors of Suicide on the first and third Tuesdays at 7 pm at the Methodist Hospital Cafeteria Conference Room #2.
