Talent show in memory of teacher assistant

PEORIA, Ill -- Students at Hines Primary School in Peoria are putting on the finishing touches for a talent show this evening to honor a late teacher assistant.

The children are dancing, singing and even playing instruments. Tonight's Talent Show Benefit is to honor the late, long-time teacher assistant Pamela Hucal.

All proceeds will be used for a memorial for Hucal at Hines school. Some of the memorial is already constructed with benches outside the school for a reading area.

School officials say Hucal enjoyed reading to the students. The show is Thursday evening at 6:30 at the school and tickets can be purchased at the door.
