Tazewell County Approves Tighter Employee Vehicle Standards

The Tazewell County Board Thursday evening approved new regulations on the use of county vehicles by employees.

Board member John Ackerman had been pressing for tighter standards for months, citing constituents' complaints and several lawsuits as a results of misuse or alleged misuse of vehicles.

Ackerman says the new Tazewell County guidelines are nearly identical to the ones implemented by Peoria and McLean Counties.
