Two U.S. Marshals and a police officer were shot today in St. Louis.

It happened this morning during a gunfight that erupted while authorities were trying to serve an arrest warrant. One suspect was killed. The sister of the alleged shooter said he refused to surrender.

One of the marshals is reported in critical condition while the other was listed in fair condition in a St. Louis hospital.

Police say one of their officers was hit in his bullet-proof vest and suffered a graze wound and injuries from a fall.

Four U.S. Marshals have now been shot while serving arrest warrants this year.
