Peoria fire investigators are waiting on an insurance company before doing tests at the scene of Saturday's fatal house fire.
37-year old Latwanda Isom died in the fire at 406 South Western Avenue.
The coroner say Isom died from smoke inhalation.
A portion of the first floor of her home collapsed in the blaze.
Firefighters say it had to be shored-up by a technical response team before an investigator could go in over the weekend.
The victim was carried out of the burning home and pronounced dead in an ambulance.
