Mrs. Ollie Earlene Bobo-Jones, 59, of 1309 S. Stanley St., Peoria, IL passed away peacefully at 6:47 pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at her residence.
Ollie was born on April 24, 1953 in Hickory Flat, MS, to Coy and Autroneal (King) Bobo. She married Zachary Jones.
Ollie leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving and devoted family; five sons, Brian (Stephanie) Russell, Marcus Griffin, Herbert (Amanda) Griffin, Roderick (Justine) Griffin and DeAndre Bobo-Allen all of Peoria; one daughter, Anita (Brandon W.) Russell of Peoria; two brothers, Douglas (Diane) Williams and Jessie Lee “Butch” (Mary) Bobo both of Peoria; four sisters, Lottie Dillard of Peoria; Bobby Jean Bobo of New Albany, MS; Alice May Campbell of Ripley, MS and Caryleen Bobo of San Diego, CA; 7 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Willie Frank King and one sister, Brenda Bobo-Breedlove.
Ollie was a 1998 Bradley University Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She was an accountant at Caterpillar, Inc.
She was a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and was on the Board of Directors for the African American Hall of Fame Museum in Peoria, IL.
Ollie was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Greater City of Refuge Worship Center with a visitation one hour prior beginning at 10 am. Bishop Timothy Criss and Pastor Sam Russell of New Testament Fellowship Church will officiate. Ollie will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.
