She was born November 17, 1931 in Kewanee, Ill. and raised by her parents, Ina and Andy Taylor.
She is survived by two sons, Bradley (and Julie) Kennett of Cumming, Ga. and Thomas (and Lis) Kennett of Cairo, Ga.; two daughters, Cheryl Jones of Bloomington, Ill. and Kelly (and Kenneth) Lockhart of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a son-in-law, Larry Shook of Wichita, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Susie Shook on May 6, 2006.
Joanne retired from the Maytag Corporation in Galesburg after working as a line supervisor for many years. She had been a member of First Church of God in Galesburg. She enjoyed gardening. Joanne graduated from Alwood High School in 1949.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Dennis McQuown will officiate. There will be no visitation.
