Sarah J. Klawitter, 75, of Normal, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community in Chenoa.
She was born January 20, 1937 in Bloomington, daughter of Ernest and Lucy Bavester Hendricks. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Thomas (Wilma) Anderson of Bloomington; two daughters, Linda Anderson and Terri Anderson, both of Normal. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tom (Carrie) Anderson of Shirley, April "Christine" (Kenneth) Matthews of Normal and James P. Morris of Bloomington and three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Mackenzie Choplin and Zacharia Morris.
Sarah retired from Eureka Company, where she worked for 35 years. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed going to flea markets and loved spending time with her faithful, four-legged friend, Buddy, her dog.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rev. Ed Harold will officiate. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bloomington.
