WASHINGTON...Clifford E. Bohlman, Jr., 67, of Washington, passed away peacefully at 5:04 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2012 at Sugar Creek Alzheimer’s Care Center in Normal.
Cliff was born on January 20, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to Clifford E. and Velma Dolores Castleman (Edwards) Bohlman, Sr. He married Carole Harrison in Metropolis, Illinois on June 28, 1969. Carole survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Christina (David) Bulick of Commerce, Michigan; three sons, Chad (Marci) Bohlman of Monmouth, Craig (Jenessa) Bohlman of Phenix City, Alabama and Curtis (Brittany) Bohlman of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister Dee Ann Barnes of Herrin, Illinois and 11 grandchildren.
Cliff had been a pharmacist retiring from Walgreens’s in Peoria. Prior to that he had worked for DeKroyft-Metz and OSF St. Francis in Peoria.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he had served his country from 1969 to 1975.
Cliff was a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Pharmacy in Chicago with the class of 1968.
He was an active runner and member of the Illinois Valley Strider’s Association. Cliff had ran 10 marathon’s and hundreds of races. He was a Red Cross Blood Donor for 20 years.
A member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Cliff was a die hard Cardinal fan and in his spare time also enjoyed a round of golf.
A mass to celebrate Cliff’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the chapel at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria with Father Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. Cremations rites have been accorded and Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements.
