Hemendra Maiseri, 68, of Peoria, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Lutheran Hillside Village.

He was born October 11, 1944 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India to Veljibhai and Kasturibai (Lodaya) Maiseri. He married Pramila Bhate on January 17, 1971 in Dhulia, Maharashtra, India. She survives.

Also surviving is his daughter Heena (Francisco) Olalde of Iowa City, IA; granddaughter, Nilima Olalde of Iowa City, IA; four sisters, Hemlata Shah of Parbhani, Maharstra, India, Madhubai Shah of Gadag, Karnataka, India, Chandrika Khona of Mumbai, Maharstra, India, Sarla Shah of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India and one brother, Dinesh Shah of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Dhanlaxmi Shah.

Hemendra was a senior electrical engineer at Caterpillar Inc. for many years. He was a member of the Jain Society and the Hindu Temple of Central Illinois.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with funeral services immediately following from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Chapel. Cremation will be accorded after the services.
