PEKIN ~ Louetta Mae Gensel, 90, of Pekin, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born April 7, 1922 in Mason City to William Frank and Florence Grace (Losey) Fletcher, she married John William Gensel, Jr. on March 6, 1943 in Palmyra, Missouri. He died December 28, 2005 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Surviving are two sons, William C. (Colleen) Gensel of Glasford and Steven Gensel of Pekin; one daughter, Norma (Steve) Jacobs of Pekin; six grandchildren, Joseph, Nicolas, and Riley Gensel, Jim and John Jacobs, and Jeff Fulton; and three great-grandchildren, Summer Gensel, Hunter Nordvall, Jeff Fulton, Jr.
Louetta was member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
She enjoyed fishing and camping. Louetta was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Bradley Braves.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
