Canton – Mary E. Myers, 90, formerly of Canton, died at 4:32 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born on August 19, 1922 in Farmington to John and Florence (Fogg) Bybee.
She married Henry Myers in Lewistown on September 18, 1988. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Carl (Corky) and Jean Nayden of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Dr. Gregory Nayden of Mississippi; four granddaughters, Misty {Paul} Nosal of Hartselle, Alabama, Tawny {Ryan} Williams, of Orlando, Florida, Brittany {Jeremy} Deville, of Madisonville, Louisiana, and Honey {Daniel} Loup of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Eleven great grandchildren, Piper, Dani, Beau, Emeri Nosal, Holden and Sutton Williams, Ainsley, Adrienne “Gracie”, and Reese DeVille, Bailey and Grey Loup. Also, survived by her brother John {Pat } Bybee of Quincy, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Mable, Daisy, Frances, Jean “Mickey”, and brothers Raymond, Bob, and David “Hank”.
Mary was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton. She had worked for Sears in Canton for several years and had been a bookkeeper for Lock’s Ford. She was a member of the former Canton Country Club and the Rebekah lodge.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held one hour prior.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to her church or Clayberg Nursing Home.
