Larry Lee Landers, 73, of Gilman, IL., died at 11:08 P.M., Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, IL., following a two week illness. His funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, with Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial will be in the Gilman Cemetery, Gilman. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman. Memorials may be made to the Donor's choice.
Larry was born on June 17, 1939 in Watseka, to Harry L. & Opal M. (Boughan) Landers. He was raised in the Gilman area and attended Gilman Schools. Survivors include his children - Roger Landers, Marianne (Mark) Kaeding of Onarga, and Bonnie Hiller of Wisconsin. Two grandchildren - Tiffany (Jim) Miller of Ashkum, IL., and Ross (Sara) Kaeding of Hawaii. Six Great Grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Harry Landers Jr.
He had served in the Illinois National Guard. Larry had also resided in Ashkum and Clifton. He worked for General Foods in Kankakee and also as a Police Officer for the Village of Clifton.
