PEKIN ~ Bonneye Lee Perry, 82, of Pekin, passed away at 10:07 a.m., Tuesday January 1, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was formerly of Manito.
Born August 9, 1930 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Lautie and Francis (Berry) Finch, she married Hollis Doyle Perry on June 18, 1947 in Conway, AR. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Gary Perry, Terry (Sandy) Perry, both of Pekin, Christopher Perry of Bloomington; one daughter, Tracey (James) Hoyle of Manito; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Torey Manley on May 29, 2007 in Rockford; one brother; and one sister.
A homemaker, Bonneye had previously worked for Pekin Hospital as a nurse's aide for 8 years.
She had been involved in the Home Class at the Pekin Union Mission; the Jolly Sixties at Faith Baptist Church and Victoria Shrine #83 of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Pekin.
Bonneye enjoyed crafts, reading and gardening.
She had attended Zion Baptist Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Charles Everly will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
