He was born March 24, 1940 in Peoria, IL to Benjamin E. and Emily (Siebenthal) Stickling. His second mother was Louise (Steiner) Stickling. They preceded him in death.
Surviving are 6 children, Scott (Jan) Stickling of Congerville, Gayle (Dennis) Virkler of Carlock, Craig (Jacki) Stickling of Peoria, Chris (Marsha) Stickling of Dunlap, Molly (Mike) Bergnach of Kenosha, WI, Gabe (Molly) Stickling of Morton; 24 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Marie (Don) Wagenbach of East Peoria and 8 loving nieces and nephews, who were very special to him. He felt very blessed.
God gave him the talent of carpentry. He used this talent as a self employed contractor for many years through his business of LAP Inc. and most recently as a project supervisor for Oakview Construction.
Ben was a member of the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church, the church of his childhood which he dearly loved.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church with the church ministers officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home at Willow Knolls and Allen Rd. in Peoria. There will also be a visitation from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Church. He will be buried with his father, mother and step-mother at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Princeville.
