Marilynn June Pierce, 78, of North Pekin, passed away at 6:29 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Pekin Hospital.
Born June 18, 1934 in Canton to Alfred and Ida (Cook) Cox, she married Richard Hidden on April 6, 1953 in Canton. He died in 1954. She later married Dwight D. Pierce on September 1, 1956 in Peoria County.
Surviving are her husband; 1 daughter, Robyn (Ronald) Mundekis of Manito; 4 sons,
Raymond ( Debra ) Pierce and James Pierce, both of North Pekin, Dwight R. Pierce of Monmouth, and Robert (Georgia) Pierce of Manito; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Charlotte Sexton of Havana.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Richard Hidden, Jr.; and 4 sisters.
A homemaker, she was of the Catholic faith.
Marilynn enjoyed crocheting, knitting, oil painting and researching genealogy.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m., Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin
