Gregory P. Winn, 59, of Peoria, passed away at 5:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Heartland of Peoria.
Gregory was born on March 24, 1953 in Peoria to Franklin Elmer and Shirley (Webber) Winn. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Winn, and one son, Colin Winn, both of Park Ridge, IL; four sisters, Mary (John) Bencher and Nancy (Phillip) Roberts both of Peoria, Pat (Peter) Vryens of San Diego, CA, and Phyllis (Robert) McCabe of Glasford, IL; two brothers, Michael (Patte) Winn of Morton and Lawrence (Pat) Winn of Wadsworth, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Gregory worked as an accountant for Lewis Equipment in Prospect Heights, IL.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and its Men’s Club. He was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. He loved bike riding, animals and sports.

A memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Rev. Christopher Layden will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the Mass at the church. He donated his body to medical science. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
