She was born on August 31, 1922 in Eden, IL to William and Clara (Stafford) DeBolt. She married Dale Koger on November 29, 1942 in Neosho, MO. He preceded her in death in 1997. Her parents, one son, Larry Koger, five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Dolores Koger of Peoria, IL, two grandchildren, Michelle (Scott) Sunderland of Dahinda and Jeff Koger of Peoria, two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Ryan Sunderland of Dahinda, nieces, Kathy (Jess) Krueger Jester, Beth (Fred) Ball, Nancy Schmitt and several other nieces and nephews.
Edith worked as a supervisor with Foster and Gallagher for many years and then with Caterpillar Inc. until retiring. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Peoria. Edith was also a member of the Wabco Retirees and she enjoyed square dancing, her vacation home in Florida, making kitchen scrubbers and spending time with family and friends.
A service will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. The Rev. Dean Grabill will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the service and burial of the urn will be at Springdale Cemetery at a later date.
