Dorothy F. Eacret, 88 of Pontiac, IL, died on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 8:06 AM at the ASTA Care Center of Pontiac.;Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac, with Rev. Donna Baker of the McDowell Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at South Side Cemetery in Pontiac. Memorials in Dorothy’s name may be left to the ASTA Care Center of Pontiac or the McDowell Methodist Church.;Dorothy was born on October 18, 1924 in Emington, IL a daughter of Clifford A. and Hattie M. (Todd) Lopeman. She married Richard S. Eacret on June 20, 1945 in Pontiac, IL. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1981.;She is survived by her children: Carol (Mahlon) Simmons of Dickinson, ND, Lynn Swearingen of Cullom, IL and Robert (Marsena) Eacret of Pontiac, IL, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, her sister: Betty Cook of Pontiac, her sister in law: Juanita Lopeman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister: Ann Baus and one brother: John Lopeman.;Mrs. Eacret graduated from Pontiac Township High School in 1942 and attended nurses training in Joliet. She worked as a nurses aide at Humiston Haven in Pontiac for 25 years. She was a member of the McDowell Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts and loved flowers and her garden and always enjoyed girls outings with her sister and sister in law.
