Donald E. Schneeman, 89, of Pontiac, passed away at 10:38 pm on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.;Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pontiac with Rev. Mary Kay Henson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow services at South Side Cemetery in Pontiac. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.;Don was born January 7, 1924 in Pontiac, IL the first son of Clyde and Viola (Casson) Schneeman. He graduated from Pontiac High School. On June 23, 1946 he married Katie Wynant.;He is survived by his children: Marsha (Jeff) Olson of Deerwood, MN, Doug (Peggie) Schneeman of Pontiac, Jeff (Sue) Schneeman of Lakeville, MN, a special friend: Eileen Fahsbender of Pontiac, seven grandchildren, ten great grandsons, three step great grandchildren, one brother: Deb (Nancy) Schneeman, one sister-in-law: Shirley Wynant, one brother-in-law: Clarence Weber, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Katie in 1994, and a great granddaughter.;Don was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served as the church council president. Don also was on the Pontiac-Esmen School Board for a number of years.;He was a farmer all his life and loved it. He enjoyed visiting with friends, playing cards with Eileen, reading the newspaper, and attending auctions. Don was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed.
