Richard James Wynd, 80, of Morton, passed away at 7:04 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2013 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born December 16, 1932 in Peoria to Andrew and Nellie P. (Gire) Wynd. He married Donna E. Prichard on November 20, 1955 in West Peoria. She died April 13, 2000 in Morton. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Surviving are his children, Terri L. Hilst of Morton and James (Joleen) Wynd of Morton, four grandchildren, Ashley (Jake), Matthew, Lauren and Zachary, 3 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Travis and Tara, and 1 brother, William (Lillian) Wynd of Glendale, AZ. Richard was a local electrician for more than 30 years, working primarily for Daniel Electric and retiring from Oberlander Electric on December 31, 1994. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 34. Richard was also a former member of Morton Christian Church and the Shriners Lodge. He loved to fish and bowl. He was a loving father and grandfather. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Entombment of his ashes will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Parkview Cemetery.
