PEORIA – Ursula I. O’Donnell, 71, of Peoria, passed away at 5:32 a.m., Sunday, May 19, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.;She was born on December 5, 1941 in Berlin, Germany. She married Patrick J. O’Donnell while he was stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany.;She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick P. O’Donnell, her sister, Monika, her brother, Rudi, and her father.;Surviving are her loving husband, Patrick, her two children, Petra and Mike (Melanie) both of Peoria, and two grandchildren, Sydnee and Kayla. She is also survived by her 95 year old mother, Martha, who lives in Austria.;Ursula was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, where she served as playground supervisor, which was the recent joy of her life. Additionally, she worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for 26 years, and was known for her loving and caring demeanor.;Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her two grandchildren.;Whether it be her avid love of nature, solving crossword puzzles, cooking, traveling, or blowing her whistle on the playground, she always lived life to the fullest.;Ursula’s laughter, sense of humor, and bright beautiful smile will be missed by the many she touched.;Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Father David Richardson will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
