Kelly R. Spaniol, 35 of Pontiac, died on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 4:15 pm in the emergency room of OSF St. James/John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.;Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac, with Deacon George Wagner from St. Mary’s Church and President Ray Mitchell from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the hour of service, Thursday at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 11:30 am. Inurnment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pontiac. Memorials in Kelly’s name may be left to a charity of the donor’s choice.;Kelly was born on February 7, 1978 in Pontiac, IL a daughter of William E. and Mary Lee (Metroz) Spaniol. She is survived by her mother: Mary Lee Spaniol of Pontiac, two sisters: Kristine (Randy) Wertz and Amy Spaniol of Pontiac, one brother: William E. Spaniol II of Pontiac, her grandmother: Margaret Spaniol of Pontiac, two nieces, one nephew, one great niece and three very close best friends: Suzanne Collins-Venaas, Morgan Collins and Richard Collins all of Pontiac. She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister.;Kelly attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Pontiac Township High School in 1996. She received her associate’s degree from Heartland Community College with honors on August 19, 2012. She was a member of the National Honor Society. Kelly was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church and later on in life a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was a counselor to young women.
