JoAnn Stalter;Pontiac- JoAnn Stalter, 78, of Pontiac passed away at 2:25 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Asta Care Center of Pontiac.;Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Waldo Township Cemetery in Flanagan with Rev. Ray Owens of the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac. Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston County Relay for Life or a charity of the donor’s choice.;JoAnn was born August 14, 1934 in Pontiac, Illinois a daughter of Delbert and Ida (Johnson) Jones. She married Lester D. “Don” Stalter on June 24, 1956 in Pontiac, Illinois. He passed away on August 21, 2007.;She is survived by one son: Michael Stalter of Pontiac, two grandchildren: Tom Stalter of Bloomington and Sarah Stalter at home in Pontiac, three sisters: Betty Blankenbeckler, Joyce Johnson, and Donna Ifft, and several nieces and nephews.;She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister: Barbara Finckenbinder, and her daughter-in-law: Mary Stalter.;JoAnn was educated in the Pontiac schools. She stayed home and took care of their son, Michael. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac. She was active in the Methodist Church Circle, Pontiac Women’s Club, and the Republican Women.
