BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Thursday was a good day to play hooky from the office for some 300 Twin Cities employees.
Gathering on the front lawn of the Illinois Farm Bureau Building in Bloomington, employees of the bureau, COUNTRY Financial, and Growmark took to the diamond for a 100 inning softball game.
Employees played in 30 minutes shifts. While participation was free, funds were raised for the United Way of McLean County through the sell of ballpark food, game tickets, and general donations.
The 100 inning softball game ran took about 8 hours to complete featuring 52 Home Runs.
