Junior guard Andrew Warren, the top returning scorer for the Bradley men’s basketball team, suffered a broken bone in his right foot last week and had surgery this afternoon to insert a pin in the injured bone. He is expected to make a healthy return by the start of the 2008-09 season.

“Andrew has worked really hard this summer and preseason,” said Bradley head coach Jim Les. “This is a minor setback in this process to get ready for this season. He has shown he is a quick healer and we look forward to his return to the floor as soon as he is ready.”

A member of the 2008 Missouri Valley Conference Most Improved Team, Warren was the team’s third-leading scorer last season when he averaged 13.2 points per game, placing him fourth among the top returning scorers in The Valley this season. The 6-foot-5 guard also is Bradley’s active career leader in scoring (574 points), 3-pointers made (88), steals (62), blocked shots (15) and minutes played (1,451).
