ISU's softball loss to Illinois yesterday was their first in 13 games.
Despite the loss, the Redbird's are still streaking through the Valley.

Before starting the conference season the ISU softball team was struggling.
The Redbirds had lost 5 of their last 6 games and then thanks to bad weather had to wait 2 weeks to play again.
Since then the Birds have won 12 of their last 13 games including 10 straight to start the Valley season, and some of those wins haven't come easily.
Last Sunday ISU was down three runs and down to their last strike before coming back to beat Evansville.
The Redbird's host Drake Thursday in a doubleheader. Depending on the outcome of those games, ISU will either be in 1st or 2nd in the Valley heading into this weekends three game series with Southern Illinois. The team that wins the series will have a jump on a conference title.
