Bradley University says the three athletes charged in connection with their soccer teammate's death will not play on the team at least for now.

In a release Thursday, officials say David Crady, Nick Mentgen, and Ryan Johnson will not participate in team athletic activities until their academic statuses have been resolved.

Their teammate, Danny Dahlquist died of carbon monoxide poisoning after a fire started by fireworks consumed the bedroom of his West Peoria home on Sunday.
The three players and another friend have been charged with aggravated arson in what prosecutors described was a prank.

The Bradley soccer team has begun pre–season training with a light and flexible schedule for the next few days.
