  Notre Dame first baseman Nick Bell is putting up slow pitch softball-like numbers in his senior season. As Hank Williams, Junior would say, Nick's just carrying on an old family tradition.

  ESPN's Rick Reilly has traveled the world covering sports. Wednesday, he was in Princeville for the Farmington-Princeville baeball game and a feature on the Farmers' inspirational star, Josh Ruchotzke.

• Tennis Twin Terrors

  The state of the state for the Morton tennis team ??? Still unbeaten against teams from Illinois. The Potters led by double-trouble twins whose family tennis ties go back to the 1950s.

• Farmington's inspiring star, Josh Ruchotzke

  In 7th grade, Josh Ruchotzke lost a hand and other fingers, along with his lower legs to streptococci bacteria. Today, he's a senior star for hte Farmington baseball team.

• Dunlap swimmer earns trip to USA Olympic Training Center

  Dunlap freshman Collin O'Brien will spend five days training with the state's best swimmers this weekend at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

• Morton Potters reloading under new coach

  The Potters have a new baseball coach and lots of new starters. The 2013 Potters though are continuing the school's winning baseball tradition.

• State Bass Fishing PPD

  The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) announced on Monday, April 29 that the 2013 IHSA Bass Fishing State Final Tournament, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 3-4 at Carlyle Lake in Carlyle, has been postponed due to potentially dangerous water levels and will be rescheduled to unfold in Carlyle later this spring
