A Former N–F–L Player and Current television sports analyst is in the Tazewell County Jail this evening.
Bill Maas is awaiting a bond hearing on charges of Drug Possession and unlawful use of a firearm.
The Former Kansas City Chief and Green Bay Packer was driving on Illinois route 1–16 last night around 11–20 when he was stopped as part of a routine safety check.
Police say Maas was very nervous.
When officers asked to search his 2005 hummer he consented.
Illinois State Troopers found a loaded 22 revolver, 5 grams of cannabis, 6 grams of cocaine and 28 pills of Ecstasy in his vehicle.
Maas and his passenger, 27 year–old Sarah Murphy were both arrested.
