Former Bradley basketball star Willie Scott is returning to the program as an assistant coach. Scott played at Bradley from 1981 to 1983 under head coach Dick Versace. Known as "the Roadrunner", Scott set a school record with 412 career assists, first broken by Bradley coach Jim Les just 3 years later. Scott is now 6th on Bradley's all-time assists list.

Scott served as head basketball coach at Malcolm X University in Chicago the last 2 seasons, going 34-26 at a program that had not had a winning season in more than a decade.

Scott has made a name for himself as a clothing designer in recent years, making suits for Michael Jackson, Prince, Louis Farrakhan, as well as NBA players.
