Future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux will celebrate his big league career in Peoria Friday night. The Chiefs will retire the number 31 in honor of Maddux, the first modern-era Peoria Chief to make the major leagues. Maddux pitched for 25 seasons in the majors with the Cubs, Braves, Dodgers and Padres. He is 8th on baseball's all-time wins list with 355.
