Oklahoma City scored twice in 2:14 of the second period to snap a 1-1 tie and went on to defeat the Rivermen Friday, 4-1.
Peoria's Derek Nesbitt scored his 14th goal on a power-play with 4 1/2 minutes left in the first period to even the score. T.J. Hensick and Nathan Oystrick got the assists.
The Rivermen played the game with only four healthy defensemen after rookie Ian Cole was recalled earlier in the day by the St. Louis Blues.
Despite the loss the Rivermen remain in first-place in the AHL's West Division one point ahead of Milwaukee and two points ahead of San Antonio. Both of those teams chasing Peoria were idle Friday.
