5K for Wishes

With help from hundreds of volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois has granted more than 9,000 wishes for children who face catastrophic illnesses.

The first annual 5K for Wishes later this month will help the foundation continue making dreams come true.

Tiffany Eccles speaks about the event coming up on Saturday, August 21 at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie.

Registration is open online at www.5kforwishes.org.

Or you can register the day of starting at 6:30 a.m.at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie.

5K registration fee is $25 (pre-event) and day of event registration is $30.

The cost for the 200m Dash for Kids is $10, (pre-event) and day of event registration is $13.
