Area State Lawmaker dies of Prostate Cancer

An area state lawmaker who was diagnosed earlier this year with prostate cancer has died.

A statement issued by the office of 94th District State says Representative Rich Myers died Wednesday night.

The Colchester Republican began his first term in the Illinois House in 19-95.

Myers had just won a ninth term in the House in the November election.

He was 62.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Scotland
Trinity Presbyterian Church in Macomb.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at two on the Campus of Western Illinois University.
