LITTLETON, Colo. -- One year ago, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich reported to prison in Colorado.
Today, his wife Patti posted on Facebook that Blagojevich calls home nearly every night and that his family has visited him many times during the past year.
Attorney Aaron Goldstein said the ex-governor works prison jobs, as all inmates do, reads a lot, is writing a diary and learning to play guitar.
Blagojevich is hoping an appeal of his conviction will get him out of his Colorado prison cell.
The court has set April 25 as a deadline for the Blagojevich appeal to be filed.
