In shifts of 500, women have been working on different activities, assembling health care and welcome kits, brail bibles, and making around 600 quilts and 500 fleece blankets.

The items will be donated to Central Illinois Organizations including the South Side Mission, YMCA, and Rescue Mission.

Kimberly Janssen, the Servant Activities Chairmen, says "The Lutheran Women's Missionary League is all about serving Christ....From the first time I got this job, to how many quilts are we going to need, everybody in central Illinois and surrounding areas have helped collecting items for the past year and a half."

Friday morning children at the convention will be taking quilts to the Rescue Mission and care packages to the Children's Hospital.
