With 15 years of experience in city and county administration, Lori Curtis Luther says she is excited to blend the ideas of new and old county officials.

Tuesday was Luther's first day on the job, but she is already looking at ways to improve the county and it's strong fiscal position.

"You're never gonna be at the top of the mountain, necessarily. It's a work in progress and I think continuous improvement is a goal every organization should be working for," said Lori Curtis-Luther, Peoria County Administrator.

Luther says her immediate priority is the Peoria County Budget. Talks over the 2012 fiscal year are already in the works.
