In just a few weeks, a number of newly elected state-officials will be sworn into office in Springfield.
Friday in Peoria State-Treasurer elect Dan Rutherford announced his pick for Chief-of-Staff of the Treasurer's office, Peoria-native Kyle Hamm.
Hamm has experience both in the public and private sectors, spending the last eight years as vice-president of the Heartland-Partnership.
Rutherford says he chose Hamm for his experience, and his Central-Illinois background, "Chicago deserves its fair share. It deserves its fair share of government services, attention from elected officials. But so does Tulon, Illinois. And bringing in a young man like this who knows small towns, but has an appreciation for the major metropolitan area. He knows you have to navigate it with fairness."
Rutherford and other newly elected officials are set to be sworn into office in Springfield January 12th.
