Firefighter Injured in Vacant House Blaze

A Peoria Firefighter received minor injuries while battling an early Monday morning blaze.

Firefighters were called to the 2600 block of West Howett just after four this morning.

Crews arrived to find the home fully engulfed. It took more than 4 hours to extinguish the blaze.

Authorities say the home appears to be vacant, damaged is estimated at $60,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
