Experts say many are now considering jobs they might not have a few years ago. Owners of the newly constructed Golden Corral restaurant in Peoria are in day two of their three-day job fair.
There are 170 openings to fill. They say so far they've seen close to 100 applicants, spanning a wide range of ages and qualifications.
Chris Hruby, owner of the restaurant said, "It's one of those times in which people are looking for work. We're seeing a lot of different backgrounds come through, and all those types of backgrounds are. Obviously restaurant experience helps, but it's not required for us to take a look at the applicant."
