PEORIA, Ill. -- Kids waiting to participate in the 2013 Race for the Cure did not have to worry about being bored.

“Kids Corner” provided plenty of activities and fun for both girls and boys hanging out at the race. This year young fashionistas like Sadie Graach got pink highlights painted in their hair and collected goodies.

"Colored pencils, bracelets, milk mustaches, pink in your hair,” said Sadie.

We should mention…the girls were not the only ones sporting pink highlights in their hair at the race…

"Kids come out and appreciate what we do. So it's awesome to be able to give back and do it for the schools and the survivors and their families,” said volunteer Erika Dorsey.

The live animals were also a big hit with the children.
