Darin LaHood to be Sworn into State Sentate Tuesday

Republican State Senator Dale Risinger, officially stepped down from his 37th District seat Monday.

Over the weekend, a committee of seven republican county chairman appointed Attorney Darin Lahood to replace Risinger.

Tuesday morning, LaHood will be sworn into the State Senate 37th District seat.

LaHood is the son of U-S Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood. But he's not resting on name recognition. The soon-to-be senator says he's already started his campaign to retain the seat he is being appointed to.
