The town of Buford, Wyoming is advertised as the country's smallest town and will be going up on auction next month.
Buford sits between Cheyenne and Laramie in southeast Wyoming. The town's sole resident, Don Sammons, says he plans to retire from managing his businesses and will move on.
The assets that will be on the April 5th auction block include a gas station and convenience store, a garage and a three-bedroom home.
Buford traces its origins from the 1860s and the intercontinental railroad.... and several presidents stopped there including President Ulysses S. Grant.
At one time it had as many as 2,000 residents before the railroad was re-routed. Starting bid is $100,000.
