ISHPEMING, MI -- Making your prom dress from duct tape is so 2011which is why Diane McNease made hers out of Starburst wrappers
Diane's perfect prom dress was a sweet and fruity labor of love.
It took her over a year-and-a-half to collect enough Starburst wrappers to make the bodice of her gown after she got the inspiration from a friend.
To accessorize her creation, she also made matching hair bands and a purse.
It took her about five months and 18,000 wrappers to complete the ensemble.
Fellow classmates ate all that candy and donated the wrappers to her project throughout the year.
