CHINA -- In China, a group of Pandas are getting a workout in the name of love.

At China's Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center, a keeper demonstrated one of the exercises the male pandas are put through.

By attaching food to a string at the end of a stick, keepers can get the pandas to stand up and exercise their hind legs.

Domesticated pandas often just sit around and eat --much like male tv anchors (as Tom McIntyre says) -- and as a result aren't as muscular as their wild counterparts...or sportscasters, in this case.

The researchers say strong hind legs help make mating easier for the pandas. And that's the end of any comparisons.
