Here's a pleasant enough custom.

However, it's not our custom. US Custom, anyway.

This is a Czech tradition..

Please, no "bad Czech" jokes, Chuck..
This woman's tee-shirt might as well say, "kiss me, I'm Czech".

800 Czech couples kissed winter goodbye over the weekend for a record breaking event. Czechs don't celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th.

They say it's too cold. They wait until the cherry trees blossom and traditionally gather in Prague under a flowering cherry tree.

This year 841 couples kissed over a five hour period, for a new Czech record. The May day tradition most likely began in the 19th Century by a Czech poet who wrote that may is the time for love.
