We now have a police story which did not require great detective skills. Unless not laughing out loud is a detective skill.

Here's the story:
In Temecula, California a place called "Best for Less Tire Pros" was burglarized. More than a dozen tires were taken from the "used tires" storage.

But, the company has surveillance cameras...although these grainy videos didn't help police much.

However, the shot of the gentleman driving away in a van with his name and phone number on it was a pretty good clue as to who might be involved.

So...police called the number on the van, asking about used tires, and arranged a meeting.

That's where they met Jeffrey Lewis Yancey --owner of "Jeff's Tires".

A search of Yancey's home uncovered stolen tires, bolt cutters and a methamphetamine pipe.

He has pleaded "not guilty".
